Although I could not take the tour on the planned day, since a guide in Spanish was not available, it was rescheduled for today. Very happy with the tour. interesting. The guide in Spanish, Akansha, very good. It allowed us to know and better understand the places visited and their history. Very good driver, and the car is very comfortable.

Mumbai Private Tour

After being picked up from your hotel in Mumbai first thing in the morning, you'll set off to explore the financial, commercial and entertainment capital of India. Your first stop will be the Gateway of India. Get to know the history of this majestic monument, built to commemorate King George V and Queen Mary's first visit to India.

Look out over the Apollo Bunder, a historic port now only used for tours to Elephanta Island. From here, admire the impressive Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, a classic example of British colonial architecture that has become a symbol of the city.

Continue your route on to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. As well as being one of the country's busiest train stations, the architecture of this Victorian Gothic-style palatial building is also stunningly beautiful, leading to its designation as a World Heritage Site. You'll then head towards the University, the Rajabai Clock Tower, considered to be the "Big Ben of India", and Dhobi Ghat, the ancient open-air laundromat, where washers or dhobis clean the linens of the city's hotels and hospitals as they have done for centuries.

Reaching Mani Bhavan, the museum-house of Mahatma Ghandi, you'll see Mumbai's Jain Temple, before strolling over to the Kamala Nehru Park and the ancient Banganga Water Tank located outside the Walkeshwar Temple. Immerse yourself in the surprising nature in the very heart of the city, visiting the beautiful Hanging Gardens.

You'll explore the famous Marine Drive, the promenade that has earned the nickname "Queen's Necklace" as at night, the street lights surrounding the curved bay resemble pearls on a string. Here you'll see further evidence of Mumbai's British colonial heritage, exemplified in the architecture of buildings such as the Prince of Wales MuseumFlower Fountain and the Post Office.

Your tour will at around 1 pm, when you'll be dropped back off at your hotel.
