Itinerary

We'll kick off our free tour of Bombay at the Indo-Saracenic style Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus station. Fun fact: it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004! You'll quickly see why. After learning about its history, we'll head to the Bombay Asiatic Society, one of the oldest public libraries in the city.

Our next stop? The iconic Gateway of India! This monument, built in 1924 during the rule of the British Raj, is tucked within the Bombay Port in front of the Arabian Sea. The views are sure to captivate you.

Next up, we'll continue our route walking to the Colaba, a lively neighborhood nestled within the oldest part of the city, whose streets are full of luxury shops. Here, we'll also glimpse the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, famous for the views from its tea rooms and colonial-style architecture.

Following this visit, we'll view the exterior of Bombay's most famous museum: the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya. The museum's exhibits narrate India's rich and storied past from its humble beginnings to the modern day.

Then, it's on to Kala Ghoda, the alternative neighborhood of the city, full of cafes, art galleries, and street carts selling artisanal goods.

Finally, our route will culminate at the Bombay High Court. Here, at one of the oldest buildings in the country, we'll bring our tour to a close. Before parting ways, our knowledgeable guide will offer plenty of recommendations for you to continue enjoying your time in Bombay. Until next time!
