Body Rafting Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at Contrada Sciara, where this body rafting experience will begin, consisting of a very fun sport that will allow you to float down the Alcantara Gorges. This is the perfect activity to explore this unique natural setting!
Once here, we'll spend 30 minutes preparing, during which the instructor will give us a safety talk and some tips on techniques. When we're all equipped, we'll hop onboard a vehicle to travel the short distance that separates us from the gorges.
We'll immerse ourselves in the natural landscapes of the Alcantara Gorges and submerge ourselves into the water. Along the way, we'll observe the canyon's rock formations, which are known for their incredible basalt prisms. Did you know that these were formed due to magma cooling from the river water? With our bodies in the water, we'll navigate the rapids and small waterfalls. Guaranteed fun!
After 1.5 hours of body rafting in the Alcantara Gorges, we'll return to the vehicle that will take us to the initial starting point, where you'll be able to get changed.
Lastly, we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 2 hours.
