Motril Private Tour
At your chosen time, we'll meet outside the Motril Tourist Office. Let's go!
As this is a private tour, you'll be able to decide the route you'd like to follow. During the tour, we'll walk through Motril's historic centre while discovering its main tourist attractions, and you'll be able to stop in the areas that draw your attention.
We'll walk through the Pueblos de América Park and see the outside of the Sanctuary of our Lady of Cabeza, which is the town's main religious building. As we look at this building, we'll discuss its origins, which go back to the Nasrid period, and we'll also talk about the extensive damage it suffered during the Spanish Civil War.
In addition, we'll see other symbolic buildings in Motril, such as the Calderón de la Barca theatre and the Town Hall. We'll also see the Church of La Encarnación, which was built in the 16th century on the ruins of an old mosque. Nearby, we'll find the Casa de la Palma, an old factory that'll allow us to learn more about the local history of the sugar cane industry.
After 2 hours 30 minutes, we'll end the private tour at a central point in Motril of your choosing.
