On this guided tour of Morelia, you'll discover why Morelia is a UNESCO World Heritage Site as you wander its narrow streets full of the colonial architecture of Madrid and Rome.

Tour of Morelia

We'll meet at the designated time on Avenida Francisco I. Madero, where we'll start our guided tour of Morelia. Are your ready? Let's go!

First, we'll walk through the historic center of the city to see some of its Baroque-style buildings built with pink stone, such as the Metropolitan Cathedral of Morelia, which has become the symbol of the town.

We'll continue discovering Morelia's history and culture as we admire the most important examples of the colonial architecture, such as the Cathedral, the University of Morelia, the ancient Jesuit School, the Plaza de Armas, and the Palacio de Justicia.

Then, we'll stop at a building from 1743, filled with pink stone arches: the Conservatory of Las Rosas, the first conservatory of America, and we'll visit the Morelos Birthplace Museum, where we'll review the history of one of the heroes of the Mexican Independence.

We'll end the tour at this last point after 2 hours.
