Glacier 3000 & Les Diablerets
Glacier 3000 & Les Diablerets from Montreux
At 9:45 am, we'll depart from the Place de l'Eurovision, outside the Montreux Tourist Office in an easterly direction.
After a 45-minute drive, we'll arrive at Les Diablerets: a picturesque alpine village in the Swiss canton of Vaud. The name of the village can be translated as "little devils", but do you know why it has this curious name? We'll find out during the tour!
You'll have free time to explore Les Diablerets at your own pace. From here you'll enjoy spectacular views of the Glacier 3000: an impressive ski resort located on an alpine glacier. It's one of Switzerland's major winter resorts, home to numerous slopes and lifts.
Those wishing to marvel at the impressive views from the top of Glacier 3000 can book the option that includes cable car entry. If, on the other hand, you're happy just seeing the glacier from a distance, you can stay in Les Diablerets, stroll through its streets, and enjoy the local cuisine.
In the afternoon, we'll reconvene in the centre of the village for the return journey to Montreux. We'll arrive back at the original meeting point at 5 pm.
Glacier 3000 Cable Car
If you prefer, you can also book the Glacier 3000 cable car ticket. In this case, your ticket includes a return journey on the cable car that connects the Col du Pillon station in Les Diablerets to the top of Glacier 3000. During the 15-minute cable car ride, you'll enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the Vaudoise Alps.
The Glacier 3000 cable car will take you to the Scex Rouge station, located at an altitude of 2,971 metres. Once there, your ticket also includes access to two of the ski resort's main tourist attractions: the Peak Walk and the Fun Park.
The Peak Walk By Tissot is a 107-metre suspension bridge that will take you to a spectacular viewpoint at 3,000 metres above sea level. The Fun Park is a fun snow park where you can go tobogganing. You can access this leisure area via the Ice Express chairlift.
