Punta del Este Day Trip
Punta del Este Day Trip
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Montevideo and head east to begin the excursion to Punta del Este. Our journey will also take us along the spectacular Costa de Oro coastline!
First, we'll head to Punta Ballena to visit the famous Casapueblo citadel, built by Uruguayan sculptor Carlos Páez Vilaró. He began working on it in 1958 using planks and materials found on the seashore. What started as a wooden shack is today a 13-floor mansion that houses a museum, art gallery, and hotel!
The following stop on our excursion is Punta del Este, also known as the "Monaco of the South". You'll see the magnificent mansions and summer homes that adorn the neighborhoods of Beverly Hills, El Golf, Cantegril, and San Rafael.
Our route will continue to the Undulating Bridge towards Playa Brava and Playa Mansa, where we'll come across the famous sculpture "The Hand" of Punta del Este emerging from the sand. Photo moment!
Lastly, we'll stop in the city center, where you'll have 2.5 hours of free time for lunch and shopping in the handicrafts market.
Finally, after 10-11 hours of touring, we'll leave Punte del Este and head back to Montevideo.
Hotel pickup
The tour includes pickup from your hotel in Montevideo starting at 8 am. The exact time depends on the location of your accommodation, so we'll get in touch with you to confirm the day before the tour.
