Montevideo Sightseeing Tour
We'll collect you from your hotel at the indicated time and set off to discover the Uruguayan capital's most iconic monuments and landmarks. During the tour, an English-speaking guide, an expert in the history of Montevideo, will give live commentary on the best-known corners of the city.
We'll start the tour by approaching the Ciudad Vieja (Old City), the nucleus on which Montevideo was founded. To delve into its history, we'll visit the Plaza de la Independencia, Independencia, where we'll find the Puerta de la Ciudadela (Gateway of the Citadel), the Solís Theatre, the Executive Tower, the Estévez Palace, the Salvo Palace and the monument to José Gervasio Artigas.
We'll continue through the city center along part of the Avenida 18 de Julio, heading towards the Legislative Palace, the seat of Parliament. We'll also pass by the Agricultural Market of Montevideo, where you'll find a wide variety of local products!
The panoramic tour of Montevideo will continue at the José Batlle y Ordoñez Park, from where we'll see the Centenario Stadium and the Monumento la Carreta sculpture. Before finishing the route, we'll continue to the Rambla de Pocitos, where we'll stop at the Montevideo sign to take some fantastic photos.
Finally, we'll take you back to your hotel three hours after the start time.
