Description

After collecting you from your hotel in Montevideo at the scheduled time, we'll begin our journey towards the region of Canelones. When we arrive, you'll see that this is one of the main wine-producing regions in Uruguay. What's so special about the wine here you might ask? We'll find out!

Our guided tour of the Juanicó Winery will begin with a warm welcome from the oenologist. Then, we'll begin to discover every detail of the art of Uruguayan winemaking.

We'll walk through the long expanses of the Juanicó vineyards and learn about the history of this family winery. We'll hear detailed explanations of the cellar, the grape harvest and of course, the vinification. What's the science behind all of this?

Then the moment will have arrived: the tasting of 4 wines! The tasting will be carried out in 3 phases. We'll begin with the young wines and then continue with more mature and stronger wines. Could you ask for anything more? These wines will also be paired with cheese, cold meats, olives and paté. Delicious!

We'll bring this activity to an end back at the hotels in Montevideo after a total of 3 hours together.
