Cerro de la Silla Hike
Hike Details
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Monterrey at the designated time to set off to the slopes of Cerro de la Silla, an iconic mountain in the town of Guadalupe, where we'll begin this exciting hiking route. From the mountain's lookout, you'll get to enjoy the stunning views of the entire city. Are you ready for adventure?
During the journey of approximately 1.55 miles (2.5 kilometers), we'll pass by iconic spots like La Virgen, a religious sculpture 39.3 feet (12 meters) high, as well as the Table of the 10 Commandments, stone tablets inscribed with the Catholic commandments. We'll also explore the ruins of the ancient cablecar, a project that launched in 1961 and closed quickly after. You'll discover why on this hike!
We'll then reach the cablecar's lookout, a platform that offers unmatched scenic views of Monterrey and its vicinities. Here, we'll stop for approximately an hour. You'll have the chance to take as many pictures as you like, and we'll share some tips to help you capture and preserve these memories. Don't forget to bring your camera!
Afterward, we'll return to the hike's starting point or, if you prefer, drop you off at a nearby restaurant to grab a bite to eat and enjoy the local cuisine. Finally, we'll say our goodbyes 4 hours after the activity begins.
