At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Palacio Municipal de Monterrey to begin our free tour. Are you ready to explore the fascinating capital in Nuevo León? Let's go!
First, we'll visit the Monterrey Cathedral, a sacred space filled with history and devotion. You'll be amazed by its architectural beauty!
We'll also head to the Macroplaza, the fourth largest square in the world spanning 98.84 acres (40 hectares). Here, you'll admire the ancient monuments, colonial buildings, and beautiful fountains.
Our tour will then take us to the Barrio Antiguo, the most bohemian neighborhood in Monterrey. This neighborhood is a fashion, art, culture, and party icon in the city. You'll find a wide variety of culinary dishes and leisure spaces with a very cool ambiance. Don't miss out!
We'll continue our walking tour passing by the exterior of important museums, such as the Museum of Contemporary Art of Monterrey, the Museo del Noreste, and the Mexican History Museum. Although we won't enter any of these sites, we'll tell you about their collections and exhibitions. You'll surely want to come back!
Finally, we'll finish this 2-hour free tour at Paseo Santa Lucía, an artificial canal that has become one of the favorite spots for locals in Nuevo León. Spanning 1.55 miles (2.5 kilometers), this is the longest artificial river in Latin America.
