After picking you up from your hotel in Monterrey. we'll leave behind the city to begin this day trip to the Pueblo Mágico (Magical Village) Cuatro Ciénegas. Are you ready for an adventure? Let's go!
On this 4-hour journey, we'll make a stop at a small supermarket where you can buy some snacks and re-energise. We'll then continue our journey and reach an authentic local restaurant. Here, you'll be able to grab a tasty typical Coahuilan breakfast if you wish. Enjoy!
With full bellies, we'll make our way to the protected area of Cuatro Ciénegas. Here, we'll spend the next 4 hours exploring this incredible natural spot. Cameras at the ready? You'll want to use them constantly, as the scenery at Poza Azul, the gypsum dunes, and the marble mines will give you out-of-this-world photos. You'll be amazed by the vividly contrasting colours.
After getting to know this place, we'll head over to the San Marcos River. The day trip will continue at this natural waterpark, where you'll be able to go kayaking, try your hand at paddle surfing, and take a dip in the water. The adventure doesn't stop! You'll have 4 hours of free time to enjoy this spot and grab a bite to eat at its facilities.
For an unforgettable end to the trip, we'll go to the centre of Cuatro Ciénegas, where we'll go on a guided tour of its narrow streets and admire its traditional architecture and historical church.
Lastly, this day trip will come to an end after a total of 18 hours at your hotel in Monterrey.
