Bustamante Trip
Bustamante Trip
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Monterrey. From there we'll take a two-hour minibus ride to the picturesque town of Bustamante.
First, we'll visit the Grottos of Bustamante. Once we get off the minibus, it's a gentle 15-minute walk until we reach the entrance. Then the guide will lead us into this fabulous collection of underground galleries where we'll discover different caverns and formations such as the Ballroom, the Wedding Dress, and the Elephant. You'll hear all about how these grottos were initially called the Caves of La Palma, after the explorer who discovered them.
After this visit, we'll stop at a local restaurant so you can enjoy a succulent lunch (not included). Feeling reenergized, we'll head into the historical center of Bustamante to take a pleasant walk and get to know its most iconic landmarks. We'll visit the Museum of Simple Things and the Alley of the Kiss, among many other special places.
During your walk through Bustamante, you can also take the opportunity to taste the delicious artisan bread of the region. It's made with wheat flour, nuts, cinnamon, and cocoa, all mixed together and cooked in a stone oven.
After visiting the town of Bustamante, we will return to the minibus and head back to your hotel in Monterrey.
