Arteaga Excursion
Arteaga Excursion
At 9 am on the morning of the activity, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Monterrey. From there, we'll hit the road for our excursion to the Pueblo Mágico ('Magic Town') of Arteaga.
As soon as we arrive, we'll check out the irrigation canal that runs through the village. Then, we'll pass through Alameda Square until we reach the Church of San Isidro Labrador, an 18th-century basilica that stands out for its large tower made up of four bodies.
If you choose to go on the excursion on a Sunday, you'll get to explore the traditional market with lots of local crafts and typical products. With two hours, you'll have plenty of free time to grab some lunch and pick up some souvenirs.
Afterward, we'll visit San Antonio de las Alazanas, a settlement in the municipality of Arteaga known for its apple and quince farms.
Not far from there, we'll also visit the harvesting areas located in the Arteaga mountain range, where you'll enjoy dreamlike panoramic views of the Sierra Madre Occidental.
Lastly, on our way back, we'll make a brief stop in the village of Mesa de Tablas to take in the extraordinary scenery of the state of Coahuila. Arrival at your hotel in Monterrey is scheduled for 7 pm.
