Montego Bay Walking Tour
Montego Bay Walking Tour
After picking you up from your hotel or the Montego Bay cruise port, we'll set off on a walking tour through the city's historic centre.
We'll go into Saint James Parish, the most important church in Montego Bay. Its grey stone exterior contrasts with the bright colours in the rest of the city, where the blue of the sea blends with the green mountains.
In Sam Sharp Square we'll see a sculpture that pays homage to this slave who was named Jamaica's national hero. We'll find out all about him and his achievements on the tour.
We'll also walk past The Cage, a 19th-century prison where slaves, drunks and rebellious sailors were locked up, and we'll learn about what life was like in Jamaica 200 years ago. Then we'll visit the local handicraft market, where you'll be able to explore the different stalls and do some shopping.
Next, a panoramic view of Montego Bay from Richmond Hill is a must-see part of this guided tour. You'll enjoy a picture-postcard image of the Jamaican coast.
Afterwards, we'll head to the outskirts of the city to admire the outside of Rose Hall mansion. Did you know that, according to legend, this house is inhabited by the ghost of Annie Palmer? Did she really murder her three husbands? Who was her lover? You'll find out all about this haunted mansion on the Montego Bay tour.
At the end of the tour, we'll take you back to your hotel and cruise ships.
