Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Whitter Village Shopping Centre and, once we're all ready, we'll head towards the Providence Farm cannabis farm. Ready for a guided tour of the farm?

During the tour, we'll learn about the life cycle of this plant, from seed to harvest, and even learn about sustainable cultivation practices. You'll feel the aromatic scent of fresh herbs as we walk among the plants to witness traditional and modern cultivation methods. Also, during the walking tour, we'll see different birds that will fly over us, such as parrots, pigeons or birds native to Jamaica.

We'll also talk about the deep-rooted relationship between cannabis and Jamaican culture, from ancient practices to modern day uses. We'll also explain how the plant has influenced local music, spirituality and medicine.

Finally, after a 2-hour tour, we'll conclude the activity.
