Battered by the Ligurian Sea are five villages full of colour and an unequalled charm. Discover them on this excursion the Cinque Terre, a day where you fall in love.
Itinerary
The tour meets early to hit the road by bus to Liguria, where we'll hit the road towards Liguria, diving into a dreamlike landscape: Cinque Terre, a delightful combination of five towns perched high on clifftops surrounded by vineyards and leafy hills.
We'll arrive at Manarola, the oldest town in the Cinque Terre, whose inhabitants are fishermen and wine producers. Then we'll head to Riomaggiore by train, an 18th-century town with just 1,500 inhabitants.
From here we'll take a boat to Monterosso, another of the jewels of this beautiful region. We'll spend two hours here, exploring its pretty streets and taking in the largest beaches in the area. Here we'll have time to eat and take a breather, before getting back on the train to Vernazza, a delightful fishing village surrounded by an incredible natural port.
Then to end the day trip, we'll take a train to La Spezia, where the coach will be waiting to take us back to Montecatini.
Lunch in Monterosso
We'll pause in Monterosso to eat lunch, and you can either go to a local restaurant of your own accord or choose the option with lunch when booking. The menu includes a seafood salad, pasta with pesto and a dessert, accompanied by water or wine. If you would prefer a vegetarian option, indicate it in the comments when making the reservation.
Self-Guided Cinque Terre Tour
If you would prefer to see the Cinque Terre at your own pace, we offer you the option of reserving the self-guided excursion. With this option, you'll travel to Manarola in our bus and have the whole day to tour Cinque Terre at your own pace. This option does not include transport between the different towns.
In this case, the escort will indicate the pickup point in La Spezia where you should meet the tour at the end of the day to return to Montecatini.
Important Information
On this excursion we will not see the famous Via dell’Amore, passing through the Cinque Terre coast, as the trail is closed until 2023. Despite this, you'll still be able to fully appreciate the beauty of the Italian coast!
The boat tour is only operational until October and is subject to weather conditions. If it is not available, the itinerary will take place by bus and train
