Welcome to Castello Tricerchi! At the time of your choice, we'll head to this elegant medieval mansion located just 10 km from the center of Montalcino. Accompanied by the guide, we'll walk through the surrounding vineyards and then enter the building to enjoy a tasting of the best Tuscan wines.
Once inside, we'll discover the origins of this 15th-century building, which belonged to one of the most powerful families in Siena! While we learn about its history, we'll visit the barrel room and uncover all the secrets of the wine that is made here.
We'll talk about the methods and techniques of Montalcino wine production and learn how to distinguish the grape varieties, such as Sangiovese, one of the most popular grapes in this area of Italy.
Then, we'll move on to the tasting room and enjoy a sample of 3 different wines, including the famous Brunello di Montalcino. Following the sommelier's instructions, we'll extract all the nuances of each glass, pairing the tasting with ciaccino, a kind of focaccia typical of Siena.
After a 1.5-hour visit, we'll end the activity by saying goodbye outside the winery.
