Padule di Fucecchio Nature Reserve Horseback Riding
We'll meet at Agriturismo Il Bottaccino, kicking off our horseback ride through the Padule di Fucecchio Natural Reserve. Let's giddy up!
Before jumping on the backs of our trusty steeds, we'll listen to a brief 30-minute introduction to horseriding from our knowledgeable guides. They'll explain the proper horseback riding manoeuvres, ensuring a safe ride for everybody. Then, it's time to put on our riding boots, and off we go.
Once settled, we'll start out at a slow trot as we dive into the picturesque landscape of the Padule di Fucecchio Natural Reserve. Be prepared for stunning Tuscan landscapes! Fun fact: this natural reserve is also home to Italy's largest freshwater marsh basin.
Our riding route continues through the protected area of Padule di Fucecchio, which has a rich landscape heritage and is home to over 200 bird species. This area also has special historical ties to the famous Medici and Lorena families, which we'll learn about along our ride.
Then, after 1.5 hours, we'll return to the starting point, saying goodbye to our new four-legged friends, and bring our experience to an end.
