On this guided tour of Mondariz, we'll soak up the history of this Pontevedra town famous for its thermal waters & discover its luxurious spa.

Mondariz Guided Tour

At the appointed time, we'll meet next to the statue of Enrique Peinador Lines, one of the emblems of Mondariz. From there, we'll set off on a guided tour of this small town of the Rías Baixas famous for its thermal waters.

First, we'll admire the Gran Hotel of the Peinador brothers, one of the town's most historic places, as it was one of the most luxurious hotels in the world until a terrible fire left it in ruins.

We'll walk near the Gran Hotel and visit the Fonte da Gándara, which has beneficial health properties thanks to its waters from the Gándara spring, discovered in 1872! This water is also known to have a very peculiar taste... Do you dare to try it?

Another place we'll visit is the ruins of the old Mondariz spa, followed by the new facilities of the Gran Hotel, created to revive the spirit of the Peinador brothers.

Finally, we'll visit the Fonte de Troncoso, the first spring discovered in Mondariz, right in the heart of this spa town.

We'll finish the guided tour of Mondariz at this fountain after an hour and a half of sightseeing.
