On this tour of Molinaseca, we'll follow the Way of St. James (Camino de Santiago) to discover one of the most beautiful villages in the region of El Bierzo!

Tour of Molinaseca

At the indicated time, we'll meet next to the chapel of Nuestra Señora de las Angustias. From there, we'll begin the tour of Molinaseca, following the same path that pilgrims follow on the Pilgrim's Way to Santiago de Compostela (aka Camino de Santiago or the Way of St. James).

We'll begin by crossing the famous Roman bridge. Behind this footbridge is the beautiful historic center of the town. Did you know that this municipality of Bierzo is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Spain?

First, we'll stop in front of the church of San Nicolás de Bari, the most beautiful church of the town. Then, we'll go to Real Street, where we'll admire the facades and coats of arms of historic residences such as the Casa-Palacio de Cangas y Pambley or the Casa de Doña Urraca.

Following the Way of St. James along Real Street, we'll arrive at the Plaza del Santo Cristo. In this esplanade, we'll see the fountain of the Apostle Santiago, where pilgrims who cross the lands of El Bierzo on their way to Compostela usually stop.

Finally, after touring for 1 hour and 15 minutes, we'll say our goodbyes at the fountain of the Apostle Santiago.
