Udawalawe National Park Safari
Udawalawe National Park Safari
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Mirissa and drive to Udawalawe National Park for an exciting safari!
In a 4x4 vehicle, we'll drive through the natural landscapes of this protected area, a paradise for elephants and other species! We'll be able to see Asian elephants strolling, feeding, and drinking in the vast open fields of the park. Did you know that about 500 elephants live in the reserve?
But elephants are not the only inhabitants of the park. On this safari in Udawalawe, we'll also see deer, wild boar, jackals, and wild buffalo! If we're lucky, we'll also get to see the swift leopard, although these sightings are usually difficult considering that this feline hunts mainly at night.
Along the way, you'll be able to marvel at the scenery of this famous reserve in southern Sri Lanka. You'll see grassy fields, mountain ranges, and the Walawe River, which supplies water to the local animal and plant populations.
On the way back to Mirissa, we'll stop at a local restaurant so you can have lunch on your own. Finally, we'll drop you off back at your hotel 10 hours after pickup.
