Immerse yourself in the day-to-day life of a Pantanal farm on this farm tour at Pantanal Experiência. As well as that, we'll go to the Agachi Museum to learn about the region's history. Don't miss it!
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Pantanal Experiência, an authentic Pantanal farm, to learn more about daily life in this Brazilian region. Of course, we'll also find out about the farm activities carried out there too.
In this place, which was once a ceramics factory, we'll see the kilns used and the structures of the old Santa Cecília factory. Did you know that this was an important point of the ceramics industry in Mato Grosso do Sul? Nowadays, this place has been restored and houses gastronomic and leisure spaces, as well as the Agachi museum, which we'll visit during the tour.
During the museum tour, we'll learn about the region's history through different utensils, images, souvenirs and objects. Did you know that its name comes from the Agachi stream? The pottery, extracted from the soil rich in clay minerals, was worked in its waters, and after a drying process, it was transformed into high-quality tiles and bricks. You'll learn so many interesting things!
After the visit, we'll ride in a tractor-drawn trailer to other parts of the estate. There, we'll discover the organic vegetable garden and the animals that live there, such as horses and sheep. We'll also see how the farm workers take care of livestock in their day-to-day routine.
The last stop will be the fish farm, where a lot of the fish that is served in the city's restaurants is produced. While there, if you wish, you can participate in a fishing activity for an hour.
After 4 hours, we'll end the tour back at the entrance to Pantanal Experiência. Until next time!
