Visit the archipelago of the Aeolian Islands & two of its most famous islands on this tour of Stromboli & Panarea. You'll enjoy the tranquility of their fishing villages and witness a magical spectacle of nature: see a volcano erupting!

Description

At the appointed time we'll meet on Via Ammiraglio Luigi Rizzo. From here, we'll go to the pier and board a boat that'll take us to the island of Panarea.

Cruising across the Tyrrhenian Sea, we'll make our way to this island, the second smallest of the Aeolian archipelago. As we get closer, you'll be able to see the great beauty of one of its most emblematic beaches, Cala Junco. Did you know that here lie the remains of an ancient settlement dating back to the 14th century BC?

We'll disembark at the fishing port and leave you two and a half hours of free time to stroll around and enjoy the rich local gastronomy. Then, we'll return to the boat and head north towards Stromboli, admiring views of the island's great volcano and islets like Basiluzzo, Lisca Bianca, Lisca Nera and Bottaro along the way.

Once in Stromboli, we'll leave you another two hours free to visit this beautiful village. You can stroll through the charming streets of its seaside neighborhood and check out its churches and chapels. If you head to Piazza San Vincenzo, you'll discover a viewpoint with a unique view of Stromboli and the nearby islet of Strombolicchio.

Finally, we'll return to the boat and start the return trip, stopping for about 40 minutes at sea to enjoy a unique natural spectacle: the active eruption of the Stromboli volcano. A truly amazing sight at nightfall!

We'll end the tour with our arrival back at the port of Milazzo after about 10 hours of sightseeing.

Important

Given the increasing volcanic activity on Stromboli, to ensure the safety of all tourists, Civil Protection has temporarily suspended all land visits to the island. It will only be possible to admire the island and its volcanic phenomena from the boat at a safe distance away, without disembarking from the boat.
