This train trip to Venice and Verona from Milan is the perfect plan for visiting Piazza San Marco and discovering the beauty of Romeo and Juliet's city!

Day Trip Details

We'll meet at the scheduled time, at the terrace of the Hotel Excelsior Galia, where we'll hop on a train which will take us across the region of Lombardy to the iconic City of Canals.

Upon arrival, we'll stroll through the historic centre of Venice, where we'll see highlights such as St. Mark's Square and Basilica and the Bridge of Sighs. We'll listen to brief explanations about the history of some of these places while we marvel at the charm of the streets and canals of this northern Italian city.

After our walking tour has come to an end, you'll have some free time to continue exploring Venice at your leisure. Once we've reconvened, we'll head to our next destination of the day. This would be Verona, where Romeo and Juliet fell in love in William Shakespeare's tragedy.

We'll stroll through this city, which sits on the banks of the Adige River, and cross Scaligero Bridge to admire the Castellvechio. This medieval fortress dates all the way back to Verona's Golden Age.

In the early afternoon, we'll return to Milan on our train and drop you off at the departure point after around 13.5 hours together.

Lo 1ro es una critica a la empresa contratada Amigo tours en Milán. La tour leader dejo plantada media hora antes del tour a la ayudante de 20 años que iba para aprender el trabajo. De todas formas la niña Claudia resolvió con la ayuda de una amiga Veneciana que la ayudó en ese destino. Lo 2do es que hubiera sido bueno que respeten el itinerario original de comenzar por Venecia temprano y con menos gente, y luego ir por la tarde a Verona. Hicimos todo al revés, Verona vacía y Venecia llena. Translate this opinion into English.

The first thing is a criticism of the company we hired, Amigo Tours, in Milan. The tour leader ditched the 20-year-old assistant who was supposed to learn the job half an hour before the tour. Claudia managed to make it work, however, with the help of a Venetian friend who helped her get there. The second thing is that it would have been nice if they had respected the original itinerary of starting in Venice early and with fewer people, and then going to Verona in the afternoon.
