Monte Bianco & Courmayeur Tour
Monte Bianco & Courmayeur Tour
We'll meet at the Largo Cairoli Visitor Centre, we'll leave Milan behind and travel by bus to the Aosta Valley: the most north-western region of Italy.
After a two and a half hour drive, we'll arrive in the beautiful Italian town of Courmayeur. This picturesque alpine village in the Aosta Valley is located at the foot of Monte Bianco, known across the border in the French Alpsas Mont Blanc.
As soon as we arrive in Courmayeur, we'll board the Monte Bianco Skyway. We'll ride along a section of the cable car to the Pavillon du Mont Fréty, a terrace that offers incredible panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. We'll descend from the cable car here to visit Saussurea, the highest botanical garden in Europe at 2173 metres above sea level!
The Saussurea botanical garden is located next to the Bellevue panoramic restaurant, where you can choose to get some lunch if you want. After eating, we'll get back on the Monte Bianco Skyway and continue the cable car ride to Punta Helbronner. This mountain marks one of the alpine borders between Italy and France.
From Punta Helbronner, which is at an altitude of 3466 metres, we'll get to admire the spectacular views of the Italian, French and Swiss Alps. After enjoying the panoramic view, we'll take the cable car back to the historic centre of Courmayeur, where you can visit the popular chocolate shops at your leisure.
Finally, from Courmayeur we'll return by bus to the meeting point in Milan, where we'll arrive 13 hours later.
