At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Duomo Square 4, in front of the 12OZ Coffee Joint to begin this wonderful tour of one of Italy's most stylish cities. From this point in Milan, we'll make our towards the Duomo, an authentic Milanese architectural masterpiece.
Milan's Duomo Cathedral stands out as the 4th largest cathedral in Europe, ranked with the likes of the other famous cathedrals of Seville, St. Peter's Basilica and Cordoba's Mosque-Cathedral. Construction of the Duomo began in 1386 and finished in the middle of the 20th century (1965), though debate still lingers about its true completion, awaiting the addition of a bell tower.
As we wander through the majestic naves of the cathedral, we'll become immersed in the history of this world-renowned church, as well as this vibrant tapestry of Milan and Italy.
