Xochimilco Boat Trip
We'll meet at Canal 237, where we'll board our boat that will take us through the various canals that make up one of Mexico City's most charming neighborhoods. Let's traverse Xochimilco!
During our boat trip, we'll set sail on a trajinera, a colorful wooden vessel typical of Xochimilco. As we navigate the calm waters of the canals in the Mexican capital, we'll delight in traditional sweets served onboard paired with different beverages like fresh juice, tequila, or pulque.
Sailing along, we'll share several fun facts about Xochimilco, shedding light on its rich indigenous heritage and the fascinating history behind the creation of the canal system, enhancing the educational aspect of the experience.
As if that weren't enough, we'll also stop at an artificial island to uncover the storied past that shaped these historic lands. We'll step ashore to enjoy a delightful picnic lunch made up of the best Mexican tacos this side of the Rio Grande and count on refreshing juice and water as well!
With newfound energy, we'll board the boat again and enjoy picturesque views of Xochimilco while we play fun games. Anybody up for bingo? Or perhaps you'd prefer listening in on a michelada workshop to learn how to craft the country's most famous drink of choice? Regardless of your preference, we'll all have tons of fun with the onboard karaoke stage at your disposal!
Then, after 2.5 hours of good times, we'll return to the starting point and bring our tour to a close.
