Excursion Details
At the time indicated, we'll meet at Hostel Amigo in Mexico City and hit the road towards the famous Grutas Tolantongo, a grotto located in the state of Hidalgo. The trip by minibus will take us approximately four hours.
Once we reach our destination, you'll have about five hours of free time to relax and enjoy this natural spa located at an altitude of nearly 4,200 feet (1,280 meters) above sea level, a landscape that will surprise you from the moment we arrive!
This landscape stands out for its large 1,640-foot deep canyon (500 meters) through which waterfalls descend to form turquoise pools with privileged views of the surrounding mountains. Here you can also see characteristic vegetation like yuccas, mesquites, nochebuenas and cacti.
Walk through a tunnel nestled in the rocks, take a dip inside a cave, walk along the Tolantongo River, treat yourself to a relaxing bath in the Hidden Paradise section... There's something for everyone at the Tolantongo caves! You can also cross a suspension bridge to admire the incredible views this dreamy grotto offers.
At the end of the experience, we'll return to the vehicle and start on our way back to Mexico City, where the excursion will conclude at the starting point after 14 hours.
