Querétaro & San Miguel de Allende Day Trip
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Mexico City to start this day trip to Santiago de Querétaro and San Miguel de Allende. Ready to discover two of Mexico's most important colonial cities?
After an approximately 3-hour journey, we'll arrive at Querétaro, a city famous for its Spanish colonial architecture and its impressive pink stone aqueduct. Here, we'll enjoy a walking tour of the city centre to discover the main attractions of the city, such as the Panteón de los Queretanos Ilustres, the Plaza de Armas and the Casa de la Corregidora.
We'll also walk through the Plaza de los Fundadores and admire the Convento de la Santa Cruz and the imposing Teatro de la República, where the 1917 Constitution was signed and the National Anthem was sung for the first time.
After exploring Querétaro for an hour and a half, we'll return to the vehicle and, after about an hour's drive, arrive in San Miguel de Allende. Here, we'll visit the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, which is notable for its spectacular neo-Gothic towers that tower over the main square.
We'll also stroll through the colourful cobblestone streets and visit the Plaza Allende, the Temple of San Francisco and the handicraft market. Afterwards, you'll have free time to have lunch and taste the delicious local gastronomy.
Finally, we'll return to Mexico City, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel 9 to 10 hours after pickup.
