Coyoacán & Xochimilco Tour

  • 50 reviews | 1,139 travellers
The truth is that it was a very complete tour, the best of all the guide Adrian and his companion Carlos. Everything they were explaining and showing us was very interesting. Although for my taste, too much time is wasted in the Rafael Platería, so that tourists can buy things there, I would have taken time away from the Platería and added some more places or more explanations. In general, very good.

Coyoacán & Xochimilco Tour

Between 8:30 and 9 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Mexico City. We'll start our panoramic tour in Roma, one of the most famous areas of the city due to its large number of restaurants, museums, galleries, parks, and shops.

We'll continue to visit the Condesa, where we'll see wide avenues lined with trees and majestic mansions. We'll then head to the Plaza Mexico or Plaza de Toros, the largest bullring in Mexico, located in the Ciudad de los Deportes. It seats more than 40,000 people and is used exclusively for bullfighting events and concerts.

Then, we'll head to the Coyoacán area to visit the Church of San Juan Bautista and the iconic fountain of the Coyotes, followed by a stroll through the picturesque cobblestone streets of this neighborhood. The tour will continue next to the Frida Kahlo House-Museum, better known as La Casa Azul, where we'll admire the exterior of this strikingly colorful home and discuss the legacy of one of the most famous Mexican painters of all time.

Next, we'll head to the Ciudad Universitaria, the university area of Mexico City. There, we'll check out the Rectorate Tower and the Central Library, where we'll admire a mural painted by Juan O'Gorman. We'll also see the mural of the Olympic University Stadium, painted by Diego Rivera.

From the university area, we'll return to your hotel in Mexico City, where we'll arrive at 2 pm.

Pickup

This tour only includes pickup from hotels located in the following tourist areas of Mexico City: the historic center, Polanco, and Zona Rosa. If your hotel is not in these areas, we'll meet you instead at the Hotel Emporio Reforma.
