Gardens of Mexico Day Trip
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the corner of Calle Florencia and Liverpool. From here, we'll begin making our way toward the Gardens of Mexico.
This park, which first opened its doors in spring 2014, is considered to be one of the largest in the world. It's divided into 8 areas, each with a distinct style to explore, including the Italian-style garden, which will take you back in time to a Renaissance-style villa. Along the way, we'll enjoy an eclectic mix of delightful scents from various flowers as well as numerous Italian sculptures and fountains, adding a touch of elegance to the experience.
Next, we'll stroll through the Japanese garden, an oasis of serenity which will transport us to the Land of the Rising Sun. Here, you can immerse yourself in the Japanese ambience, enjoying the bamboo plants, charming bridges and traditional architecture. Then, in the desert garden, you'll encounter over 200 species of cacti, including some which were retrieved from arid and semi-arid regions in Mexico.
You can also visit the tropical garden and the 4 springs garden, whose special feature is that its flowers rotate according to the four seasons.
At 2 pm, we'll head towards the Hacienda San José Vista Hermosa, founded in 1529 by Hernán Cortés, where we'll stop so that you can grab yourself some lunch
At 5 pm, we'll leave for the starting point in Mexico City, where we'll expect to arrive between 7 pm and 7:30 pm.
