Day of the Dead Tour
Day of the Dead Tour: Xochimilco & Anahuacalli Museum
We'll pick you up at 5 pm in front of the Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel, where we'll begin an exciting tour of Mexico City on the night of Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead.
First, we'll go to the Anahuacalli Museum to admire the offerings of its Day of the Dead altar. Each year, this museum dedicated to the work of Diego Rivera outdoes itself with spectacular displays from the end of October to the beginning of November in honor of one of the most awaited nights of the year.
After marveling at the altar at the Anahuacalli Museum, we'll continue our night tour in the Xochimilco, a neighborhood full of canals located south of the Mexican capital. Here, we'll enjoy a famous trajinera ride! You're sure to love these colorful traditional boats, which will be specially decorated for Day of the Dead.
During the two-hour ride, we'll learn about the most famous Day of the Dead legends. As an added bonus, the tour also includes a tasting of typical products consisting of two tamales, chocolate and pan de muerto.
We'll conclude the trajinera ride through Xochimilco by returning to the starting pier. From there, we'll return to the meeting point, arriving at 10 pm.
