Day of the Dead Tour in Atlixco
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the old ISSSTE offices in Mexico City to begin our Day of the Dead tour. Let's start!
After a 2-hour journey, we'll reach the towns of Santa María Tonantzintla and San Francisco Acatepec. Here, you'll have an hour of free time to admire the beautiful churches and their Indigenous baroque details.
Next, we'll pass by the Cholula archaeological zone, where you'll also have an hour of free time. We recommend visiting the largest pyramid in the world, the Great Pyramid of Cholula—you'll surely be amazed!
Afterward, we'll head to Atlixco de las Flores, a Pueblo Mágico with spectacular views of the Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl volcanoes.
Next up on our tour is the moment you've been waiting for! It's time to experience the Day of the Dead celebration in Atilxco! You'll visit the Valle de Catrinas festival, where you'll find various monumental figures representing this special occasion installed throughout this Pueblo Mágico.
Before returning to Mexico City, you can grab a bite to eat following our guide's recommendations. Finally, after our 11-hour activity and a day full of culture and traditions, we'll say our goodbyes at the meeting point.
