Sisal & Celestún Tour
Sisal & Celestún Tour
At the indicated time we'll pick you up at your hotel in Merida to start this excursion to Sisal, an enchanted Mexican Magic Town.
Upon arrival, we'll head to the fort of Santiago, where we'll see its lighthouse and the old maritime customs house, from where exports left for the United States and Europe.
We'll then visit the Sisal dock, where we'll leave you free time to stroll around the town and have a drink in one of its restaurants.
After visiting Sisal we'll go to Celestún, and on the way we'll tell you about the historical and cultural aspects that characterise the port of Celestún and Sisal. Once we reach our destination, we'll go to the 'ecotouristic parador of Celestún', where you'll have free time to take a boat ride along the estuary and see the flamingos that live in its waters. We also recommend a visit to the Isla de los Pájaros and the Ojo de Agua lagoon.
If you decide not to take the boat trip, you can stay on the beach of Celestún and enjoy its restaurants with a variety of tasty food. You'll find restaurants specialising in seafood and Yucatecan cuisine.
Finally, we will meet up again to return to Merida and drop you off at your hotel around 7 pm.
