Day Trip to the San Ignacio Cenote
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Merida, from which point we'll set off on this excursion to Cenote San Ignacio - leaving the city behind to go to this oasis of tranquillity in the middle of nature.
At the ecotourism park of San Ignacio, we'll enter a natural sanctuary which is home to amazing treasures, such as the cenote and fascinating caverns. This cenote is known in Mayan as Tuunich Ha, meaning "water in the stone."
Here, you'll be able to explore the cenote, and of course, take a dip in the refreshing waters. The dome of this cavern is illuminated, and the depth of the cenote is shallow, making it a safe option for anyone! As you'll see, these waters are of a beautiful shade of turquoise blue, and have an average temperature is 24 degrees Celsius (75 degrees Fahrenheit).
The park is also home to the Esmeralda River, where you can still enjoy a swim in its facilities. Slides, canals and crystal-clear water await you - a true hidden paradise!
6 hours later, we'll finish the excursion to Cenote San Ignacio back at your hotel in Merida.
