Mérida Museums Tour
Mérida Museums Tour
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Mérida at 12 pm. There we'll hop into a vehicle and head to our first destination, admiring the typical architecture of the Yucatán capital along the way. Ready to start our tour of the museums of Mérida?
The first stop will be at the Gran Museo del Mundo Maya, a magnificent collection of 1,160 textiles, religious objects, and furnishings reflecting the daily life of the Maya - a real journey back in time!
The Regional Museum of Anthropology of Yucatán Palacio Cantón will be our second visit. There we'll tell you about the architecture of this mansion, in an eclectic style known as Beaux Arts. Inside we'll find an exhibition with pieces from the pre-Hispanic Maya civilization.
We'll continue our tour of the museums of Mérida at the Fernando Garcia Ponce-Macay Museum, the only one dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of modern and contemporary art in the entire Yucatán Peninsula!
Of course, we can't finish the route without visiting the Museum of Yucatecan Gastronomy, or MUGY. This is a space where Yucatecan culture is highlighted through its gastronomy, one of the best ways to learn about a place's tradition and cultural richness! There we'll have lunch consisting of a barbecue with different types of meats and sausages. Bon appetit!
We'll finish this enriching tour of Mérida leaving you back at your hotel at 9 pm.
