Day Trip to Chichén Itzá, Izamal, & the Xcajum Cenote
Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at Hidalgo Park in Merida to begin our journey to Chichén Itzá. Let's discover the best Yucatán has to offer!
During this 1 and a half journey, we'll give you a general overview of Mayan culture, which will allow you to make the most of this trip even more. Once we reach the Chichén Itzá archaeological site, you'll have a 1-hour visit, accompanied by guides of Mayan heritage who will tell you the story of this majestic place. Afterwards, you'll have 1 hour of free time to continue admiring the ruins.
Next, we'll make our way to the Xcajum Cenote, a refreshing oasis that will make you want to take an immediate dip in its crystal-clear waters. After swimming and enjoying this sacred spot for a few hours, we'll indulge in a buffet-style lunch with typical dishes of Yucatecan cuisine.
Having re-energised, we'll begin the journey towards Izmal. During our travels, we'll tell you the story of this Magical Village. Once we arrive, we'll explore its charming streets with yellow houses, climb up to see the Kinich Kak Mo Mayan temple, and visit the San Antonio de Padua Convent.
Lastly, we'll return to Merida to conclude this 10.5 hour day trip at our initial meeting point.
