Cordon del Plata Hike to Veguitas Camp
After picking you up at your hotel in Mendoza at 8:30 am, we will head into the landscapes of the eastern Andes As we travel along National Route 7, which passes through Cacheuta and the Potrerillos reservoir, we will enjoy delicious pancakes from Mendoza and a tasty infusion.
We will arrive in the beautiful Cordón del Plata Provincial Park. We will park next to the Vallecitos ski station and, from here, start our fantastic trek through these wonderful Andean landscapes. The first part of the tour, which lasts two hours, will take us to the famous Las Veguitas campsite, located at 10,500 feet above sea level.
At the camp, we will enjoy a gourmet picnic consisting of carne criolla empanadas and wine from Mendoza, fruit, alfajores, and sweets. After lunch, we take another hike to discover all about the wonderful local wildlife.
This new two-hour hike concludes in Vallecitos. From there, we return by road to your hotel in Mendoza, where we arrive at 3:30 pm.
