Aconcagua Provincial Park Trip
Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we will pick you up at your hotel in Mendoza before driving east along the National Route 7 towards the enchanting border area with Chile.
During a pleasant three-hour drive, we will relax on board with some traditional pancakes and a tasty infusion, choosing between mate, coffee, or tea. Along the way, we will pass through the Andean village of Cacheuta and see the Potrerillos Reservoir and the Cordón del Plata mountain range.
The excursion continues, driving through the villages of Uspallata and Horcones until we reach the Puente del Inca, where we hear the legend of this monument. After this, we will head to the Aconcagua Provincial Park Visitors' Center, where we jump out of the vehicle.
We then set off on an easy 2.5-hour trek, which takes us to 10,000 ft above sea level. Along the route, we will encounter beautiful places like the Horcones Lagoon and the Quebrada del Durazno Bridge. At this last point, we will stop for a picnic lunch which includes Carne Criolla empanadas, fruits, alfajores, various sweets, and wine from Mendoza.
Afterward, we will return on foot to the visitor's center, where we jump back on the bus and head to the hotel in Mendoza, where we arrive around 10 hours after pickup.
