Description

Discover the city of Melbourne on this two-and-a-half-hour walking tour starting from Federation Square. With your guide, you'll take a walk down Hosier Lane, a paradise for street art. Murals adorn the street walls bursting with color. Further along, you'll find the majestic St. Paul Cathedral completed in 1891, it's remained in the heart of Melbourne for over 150 years.

Continuing on, you'll pop into Young & Jackson's Hotel, a historic venue housing an iconic piece of art called Chloe. Did you know this painting has become the emblem of the city of Melbourne? You'll discover why on this tour!

You'll also visit Center Place, a bustling pedestrian alley with plenty of shops and cafes for you to take a quick break and enjoy a coffee before continuing the tour. From Center Place, you'll make your way to the elegant Collins Street, where some of Melbourne's most iconic buildings are located. Heading towards Hardware Lane, a charming street known for its cozy cafes, is the best part of the tour! Here, you'll enjoy two donuts from one of the local shops and fuel up for the rest of the tour.

Moving on from the tour's sweetest moment, you'll explore the fascinating Old Melbourne Gaol, a former prison, and delve into Little Lon, a neighborhood that was once home to Melbourne's working class. You'll continue with your guide onto Chinatown, the vibrant and bustling district, before concluding the route at the State Library of Victoria, an architectural gem that houses a vast collection of over one and a half million books.
