Jericó Day Trip
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at your chosen meeting point. From there, we'll make our way to Jericó, 2.5 hours out of Medellín. We'll drive along mountain roads until we reach this traditional Antioquian village. Did you know that it's one of Colombia's Pueblo Patrimonios, or heritage towns?
Once at our destination, our first stop will be the Cerro El Salvador, an impressive hill. At the top, you'll feel the strength of the wind and the energy of the mountainous landscape that surrounds us.
We'll continue our excursion to one of the main attractions of Jericó: the house where Saint Laura Montoya Upegui was born in 1874. Locals and tourists gather here to follow in the footsteps of this nun who spent part of her life helping the indigenous people of the Urabá jungle.
Before continuing the tour, we'll stop to refuel with a delicious lunch of traditional Colombian cuisine.
After lunch, we'll take a tour inside the Museo de Antropología y Artes de Jericó Antioquia, where we'll discover the municipality's culture and history. The perfect finishing touch!
Finally, we'll say our goodbyes at the starting point after 8 hours.
