At the designated time, we'll meet at the entrance of the Medallo Coffee Museum. Once we're all ready, we'll start this free coffee tour. Ready to explore the Colombian coffee culture? Let's go!
Throughout the tour of this site nestled in the popular Comuna 13 in Medellín, you'll learn all about the elaboration process, from the coffee planting to how to prepare a delicious cup of coffee. We'll show you coffee plants of different sizes, and you'll learn about their species, varieties, and physical and chemical characteristics.
During this experience, you'll gain an appreciation for the tremendous effort coffee growers put into planting, nurturing, harvesting, and processing coffee as you sharpen your senses of seeing, smelling, and tasting coffee beans of varying qualities. You'll even learn how to distinguish a good coffee from a poor-quality one!
Afterward, a coffee expert will give us a demonstration of coffee roasting using a professional roasting machine. You'll see how crucial heat is for achieving unique flavors. You'll love hearing the sound of the first crack of the freshly roasted beans!
After the demonstration, you'll taste and rate 2 specialty coffees. Plus, to top it all off, you'll enjoy a coffee-infused hand scrub that will leave your skin soft and refreshed.
