Calderas River Rafting Activity
Description
Having picked you up from the Masaya Hostel at the designated time, we'll set off for the Calderas River. Let's go on an adventure!
When we're by the river, we'll discuss some safety measures and regulations for this activity. We'll then hand out all the necessary rafting equipment.
Once we've hopped into our rafts, we can start making our way down the Calderas River. We'll navigate our way through rapids, whirlpools and rough waters with drops of up to 5 feet (1.5 metres).
As we row, we'll spend around 3 hours admiring the emerald-coloured waters, the towering mountains in the background and all the different bird and plant species that surround us.
During the activity, we'll stop at a quiet spot to have a light lunch (vegetarian, vegan & gluten-free options are available). After getting our energy back, we'll spend some time relaxing and taking a refreshing dip in the Calderas River.
We'll then continue along the river until we reach the bridge of the Samaná River. Here, a minibus will be waiting for us to take us back to Medellín.
After an unforgettable day, we'll finish our rafting activity and say our goodbyes at the meeting point in Medellín after a total of 7 hours.
