Free Tour of Mdina and Rabat
Description
Stepping into Mdina is like traveling back in time. In this city, it feels as though time has stood still for centuries - as such, it has served as the backdrop for countless productions such as Game of Thrones and Gladiator. To begin our tour, we'll gather at the indicated time at the entrance gate of Mdina before crossing the moat into the city.
We'll then start making our way down the city's ancient streets, passing beautiful palaces such as that of Santa Sofia and other landmarks such as the Mdina Metropolitan Cathedral Museum. In addition, we'll visit the city walls, which offer unbeatable views of the island of Malta.
Our tour will then take us to the village of Rabat, which is about 10 minutes away by foot. In this charming traditional town, we'll gain a deeper insight into rural life in Malta. While we're here, we'll take the opportunity to discuss the town's traditions and gastronomy.
We'll end our free tour in Rabat after about 2 hours and 15 minutes of sightseeing. Of course, we'll also give you some local recommendations on places to eat and explore during the remainder of your trip!
