On this guided tour of the Porto Flavia mines, you'll learn about one of the most spectacular mining sites in southern Sardinia. We'll also have great views of the beautiful Masua Beach. You can't miss it!

Tour Description

At the designated time, we'll meet in the Porto Cauli Beach car park, where we'll begin our journey towards the Porto Flavia mine, which is, without a doubt, one of the most interesting places in Sardinia.

We'll walk along Masua Beach and the old 1915 pier, located a mere kilometre (just over half a mile) away from the mining site, before reaching our destination. Ready to discover this unique mining site with views of the Mediterranean?

Upon entering the main mine shaft, we'll walk for about an hour with a tour guide, who will explain the mine's impact on the local economy and some fun facts about its construction.

Halfway through our guided tour, we'll also get to climb up a balcony with stunning views of the sea, from where we'll also get to see the Sugarloaf Isle (Pan di Zucchero) up close. This is the perfect spot to take a picture or two!

Once we've finished our tour of the Porto Flavia mine, we'll walk back to our starting point and say our goodbyes after 2 and a half hours.
