In ancient times, Roque Nublo was considered a sacred rock by the first inhabitants of the island. Discover why on this full-day tour to the summits of Gran Canaria.
Full-Day Trip to the Peaks of Gran Canaria
The tour begins heading to the north of the island, to see the striking neogothic temple of Arucas. This area is also famous for its banana plantations and rum.
Hit the road until you get to the picturesque village of Teror. As you visit its historic center, you’ll marvel at its multicolored balconies, typical of the Canary Islands. The bright colors contrast sharply with the lush vegetation of the mountains that surround the village. On the guided tour, you'll also visit the Nuestra Señora del Pino Basilica, home to a magnificent sculpture of the Patron Saint of Gran Canaria.
After having lunch at your own leisure in the area, you'll set off to the viewpoint of Roque Nublo in Degollada Becerra.
We'll descend admiring the mountainous landscapes of Cazadores and, after a photo stop at the caldera of Los Marteles, we'll arrive in Telde to visit its picturesque historic centre. Then, we'll visit an aloe vera farm in El Goro to discover all the beneficial properties of this plant.
Finally, you'll be dropped off in the hotel area in the late afternoon.
