Bike Tour of Mascota

We'll meet at the time of your choice at the entrance to the mysterious and unfinished Temple of the Precious Blood. From there, we'll begin our bike tour of Mascota. Let's go!

First of all, we'll cycle around this eerie structure to explore the imposing unfinished walls of this 19th century basilica and its well-tended gardens. We'll bike through the cobblestone streets to admire Mascota's characteristic adobe houses and arrive at the main square, where we'll find a Mudejar-style wrought-iron pavillion.

We'll stop in front of the Church of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores to admire its baroque and neoclassical façade, as well as its beautiful three-part tower. Continuing our bike tour of Mascota, we'll reach the Archaeological Museum, which houses more than 200 objects belonging to the indigenous people of the area.

Gathering our strength, we'll bike up to the Cerrito de la Cruz, a hill located 1 kilometre from the centre of Mascota. There, we'll be able to get off the bikes to enjoy the views of this Jalisco town.

On our way back to the old town, we'll stop at a traditional tavern to taste raicilla, a traditional local mezcal drink. Let's toast to a great bike tour!

After two hours of cycling, we'll conclude the activity back at the starting point.
