On our Noailles Guided Tour, we'll explore one of Marseille's most multicultural neighbourhoods while learning about its history and visiting its iconic market.

Noailles Guided Tour

At 2 pm, we'll meet on La Canebière and start our guided tour of the Noailles neighbourhood.

From this central spot in Marseille, we'll start walking through Noailles' winding streets as we discover how one of the world's most popular national anthems, the Marseillaise, came into being.

We'll also learn about the history of this neighbourhood and discuss the shops that were established over 200 years ago. In addition, we'll talk about gentrification, the struggle for decent housing and the tragedy of the Rue d'Aubagne.

One of our stops will be the vibrant Capuchin Market, a lively place where you can find the most exotic ingredients from the East and the African continent.

After 2 hours of exploring Noailles, we'll finish the tour at 4 pm back at the starting point.
