Calanques National Park Kayaking Tour

  • 15 reviews | 187 travellers
The kayaking trip was good but a bit misleading. If you book just 4 hours you don't get close to any of the nice beaches as the description says. You only go around an island in Les Goudes. Which is nice but a bit disappointing when you expect to swim in a cove. Also in the end the kayaking is only 2 hours, the other two are travel and preparations.

Tour Options

During the booking process, you can choose between three options. All start and end at 47 Impasse du Dr Bonfils,  and include kayak rental and an English-speaking guide.

Please read the details for each tour below:

Full-Day Tour (9 Hours)

From the meeting point, we'll make our way by minibus to where we'll hop into our kayaks. Here, after a short meeting about how to use the kayak and the oar, we'll begin an exciting kayaking tour of the Calanques National Park. This area of the French Riviera, located in the south of France, is a real Mediterranean paradise whose landscapes will forever remain etched into your memories.

Depending on the wind conditions, we'll sail around Cassis while we arrive at the park, admiring the sea caves, cliffs, and lowlands. Whenever we want, we can stop at one of the best points on the route to dive into the water and fend off the heat.

We'll also glide through the outside of the Calanques National Park in search of the Côte Bleue. When we reach this site, you'll be captivated by the intense turquoise blue water that bathes the limestone coast. We'll paddle along the beautiful archipelago of Riou as we take in the serenity of the environment.

During the journey, we'll tell you about the fauna and flora of the French Riviera and the Calanques National Park.

Morning Tour (4 Hours)

Ready? First, we'll sail in search of the southern island of Maer, where we'll see the cliffs and the variety of the area's birds. You'll see white-throated kingfishers, peregrine falcons, and seagulls. Plus, you'll admire the natural spectacle of the lithophyllum lichenoides algae. Wondering what this is? You'll be amazed!

We'll paddle along the turquoise blue waters of these unique locations. Its tonality contrasts with the ochre colours of the cliffs, making for a spectacular landscape you won't forget any time soon.

During our tour, we'll make a short stop at the Plage de Cap Croisette so that you can take a refreshing dip in the waters of the Mediterranean. Finally, we'll paddle back to the point where we began our journey.

Sunset Tour (4 Hours)

In this case, we'll follow the same itinerary described in the previous section. The big difference will be that we'll spend more time paddling around the south of the Island of Maer and we won't stop at the beach. Landscapes bathed in golden hues from sunset are guaranteed!
